Celebrating 60

In 2026, Trevelyan College celebrates its 60th Anniversary - a truly special milestone! This is more than a celebration; it is a chance to reflect on our incredible journey together and to look forward to an inspiring future.  Throughout the year, we will honour the vibrant spirit of college life—sport, music, theatre, scholarship, community engagement, and volunteering—while recognising the global impact of our alumni, students, and staff.  There will be countless opportunities to celebrate, reconnect, and create new memories. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Trevelyan or see you at events across the UK.

Join us and be part of this unforgettable year!

Reunions

During the year of celebrations, there will be many exciting events planned to reconnect with fellow alumni and share in the celebrations for Trevelyan’s 60th Anniversary. The highlight will be our Anniversary Reunion Weekend in 2026 - a major event to launch the festivities at Trevelyan College. Full details of the weekend schedule will be announced soon. In addition, informal regional reunions will take place across the UK, including in London and Manchester, offering opportunities to meet and reminisce with fellow alumni and supporters. Other major events will be coordinated to align with dates of historic significance to the college and will focus on areas of student activity.   By early January 2026, a full timeline of activities alongside booking information will be available on this webpage.  We very much look forward to engaging with as many alumni as possible during this important celebration.

Arts

Music, theatre, and visual art have always been at the heart of student life at Trevelyan College, enriching our community and shaping unforgettable experiences. Our vibrant music societies, theatre groups, and art collectives have played a key role in this tradition. During our anniversary year, we will host celebrations of student arts activity co-created with student societies.  Planning is already underway for a major celebration of college music in early 2027, featuring exciting opportunities for alumni to get involved. Once finalised, full details of theatre, music, and visual art activities will be shared on this webpage - so stay tuned!

Sport

For many of our alumni, sport was a defining part of their Trevelyan experience - and we are excited to celebrate that legacy during our 60th Anniversary.  Throughout the year, we’ll create opportunities to honour the role of sport in college life.  One example is Trevelyan College Boat Club, which will be organising a series of activities during the College’s 60th Anniversary year, which aligns with their own 50th Anniversary.  Full details of these events will be shared soon - so get ready to join the celebrations!

For 50 years, TCBC has been a significant force in student life at Trevs. With our novices thriving and seniors competing nationally, we’re proud of what those before us have built and excited for what’s to come!

Volunteering

Trevelyan College students and alumni make a real difference - locally, nationally, and globally.  In recent years, our community has supported initiatives such as litter picks, beach cleans, foodbank collections, and festive charity craft projects.  To celebrate this spirit of service during our 60th Anniversary, we’ve launched a Volunteering Challenge with an ambitious goal: 600 hours of student volunteering throughout the anniversary year.  Together, we can make this milestone truly meaningful!
