Welcome to Stephenson College
Situated in the historic cathedral city of Durham, Stephenson College is one of seventeen colleges at the world-leading Durham University.
Stephenson College is a modern, progressive, values-led College which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021. Our College is named after the great inventor and social innovator, George Stephenson. Sustainability, innovation, global citizenship and civic engagement are the core pillars of Stephenson College life, and we believe that change starts with us.
Stephenson College has five core values that form the basis of everything we do as a College; these values are curiosity, courage, inclusion, responsibility and kindness.
Stephenson welcomes students from across the UK and around the world and we make sure all of students feel at home in County Durham from the moment they arrive. Students lead and participate in all areas of College life and we have a vibrant, diverse undergraduate and postgraduate community. Welcome!
